Default painting baja5b shells

i ask this question directly in this section cos i seen it done on someones baja5b . How do i get a black MATTE finish on a baja shell ? i know your supposed to spray shells from the inside and then you get the glossy effect from the lexan on the outside , but i want that matte finish look from the outside . Is there a special lexan paint to spray on the outside of shells , or can i just use regular heat proof pot belly black spray cans you get at the hardware store so i can get that matte finish .

I use a spray paint called Dull Coat on my Tamiya tanks which reduces glare and gives them a flat look, but I don't know if it would flex like paint made for Lexan. [sm=50_50.gif] Wal-Mart carries a spray paint called Krylon Matte Finish that works similarly, but again may flake off of flexible plastic. [] Either one would have to be sprayed on the outside of the body, but they are clear so would not change your paint color much.

Just use undercoat black spray paint. It will give you a nice texture and always dries flat black. I did this on a body which was sprayed on top a few times buy the previous owner.
