Team FastEddy Baja SPEED Challenge 70+
There seems to be a healthy group of Baja owners out there that are battling it out to see who can go the fastest with an HPI Baja. We are going to add a little fuel to the fire by offering up a $500.00 cash prize to the first person that can brake 70mph.
We will post the official rules here once they have been properly set. As we all know "proof of speed" is the difficult part. We have been talking to experts and will have an official proof of speed verification in place shortly that will be fair to all involved.
We are having a "Fastest Baja on Earth" trophy made up as we speak. This trophy will be sent to the record holder. Each time the record is broken, the trophy will be passed on to the new record holder.
At this time, We have Carlo with CC Racing engines that hold the unofficial record of 66mph and MiamizFinest (Luke Borge) who has broken 64mph and has a few tricks up his sleeve and believes he can break Carlos record real soon.
I have heard that there are several more people that are working on their buggies to break the record as well. Hopefully this little "Cash Carrot" will add some incentive to get some more people involved. Being Crown the Fastest Baja in the world is a great thing and the best reward of all but a little cash to go along with it if you break 70 wont hurt.
Have fun guys, and go FAST!

I do like the fact that they used 2 decent quality guns and uncut video. Makes it credible.
That sucker was flat out hauling!

Carlo From CC thinks I should just cut him the check right now [X(]
I think the game is on.
Before anyone goes out for the records, hang loose for a week or so and get your rigs setup.
There are some rules that will be set as to how we will need to verify the speeds.
We have some fun times coming up and want to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Ill post them as soon as all the ducks are in a row.

lol i know you dont want to give secrets away on to how your making these baja's fast , but i think that an all out carbon fibre baja is the way to go replacing all alloy with carbon , and maching any alloy away to get rid of weight .

Two runs reversing the position of the guns for proof of the 2nd run with un edited video. Still looking for a fair way to do this and will announce it when we decide.
The 70+ is something that is in the works as well but will most likely be a different. Again, give us a little time. There is a lot of excitement about this and its starting to draw some attention so we want to make sure its done right and everyone that wants to get involved has a chance.

At 70 mph, I surely HOPE someone can BRAKE !
....cause stopping the car is just as important as breaking the 70 mph mark
