RE: NUTECH 4WD BODY COLOR VOTE
Lets keep the discussion on the body and the car please. If something funny is going on, I will spot it, don't worry.
Nutech and Smartech probably do share staff. It's not like they're trying to hide anything, even the names are similar, nobody's pretending they are not closely related. The fact that they changed what brand the product is sold under, is neither here nor there.

RE: NUTECH 4WD BODY COLOR VOTE
Nutech is the new Smartech. I am sponsored by both and I am testing and will be sending input for the new car. This new car will be an update to the Thunderbolt, and is definitly not a clone, as the Thunderbolt is an original design.
So, with the explanation out of the way, please vote for your favorite color, or vote for clear if you like to paint your own bodies.

Can you tell me what's the materials of this gear? What metal is it made of ? what's its dimension?
I just wondering if it is strong enough.

RE: NUTECH 4WD BODY COLOR VOTE
yes, if you go to the smartech website and go down the bottom they have a link to the Nutech site and they are an original buggy designed by Smartech/Nutech, not a clone off anything
I think you should have the option of the Clear and a painted body

RE: NUTECH 4WD BODY COLOR VOTE
This is just my personal opinion, but when it comes to pre painted bodies, or RTR out of the box, these are options that should stick to 8th, 10th, 12th scale and so on.
I'm sorry, but if your not hands on to at least mount a few servos, or paint your own bodies, then maybe largescale isn't for you...
I understand, some people may just be lazy, others just moving from 10th scale to the big stuff, but the bottomline is, your never going to learn if you don't do it yourself.
Think about how much cheaper you would be able to get into 5th scale buying a buggy like this without the crappy electronics that you will eventually pull out due to it failing or a clear body that the company does not have to worry about finishing off.
These things would keep the price even more affordable and at the same time not get you disgusted about your new found hobby, running into problems because certain factors are below it's standards and give out.
I think companies like NUTECH should be able to offer there products both ways.
Buggy RTR Pre painted body
Buggy kit clear body (no electronics)
This way, it will be more appealing to a much broader market.
You will supply the RTR versions to the more laid back, lazy guy who just wants to pull it out of the box and gas it up, when something breaks or fails, they will go out and upgrade those parts, inturn spending more money for the lack of time and effort.
The buggy kit, would be for the more advance person or someone that's more familiar with large scale , that knows what servos or remote system they want to run, or what paint job style they want to use.
The end result, would be selling twice as many buggies and giving people a choice to spend less and add those upgrades they want.
Hopefully we can see something like this happen.
Nothing personal, but that's one of the reasons why the Rampage models has been successful.
Well, just wanted to share my thoughts.
Thank you
Pete

RE: NUTECH 4WD BODY COLOR VOTE
I agree, they should be available as a RTR and a kit version. I would even go as far as offering without an engine as well as there are that many different choices of engines, radio gear and servos out there and eveyone has there preferences
