Default FS RACING MCD CLONE?

Hi everyone,

I was just looking on Ebay today, when i found this:

http://www.fsracingusa.com/fs2wdbuggycar.aspx

I did a search but i didn't find any posts on this truck. It is pretty cheap but i don't have clue
what the quality of it is, does anyone own this truck? If so how does it compare to others?

thanks,

jonnie

Hi, Jonnie !

Look at this massive thread on this forum :

[link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6988418/tm.htm[/link]

There are many other FS owners on the world.

Here is the link to our German massive FS Thread :

[link]http://www.rcindependent.com/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=26040&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=1[/link]

There are many pictures in both threads.

I have two FS Buggy´s.

Greetings Maik

Hi there, i have the fs racing onroad car you will need to replace a lot of parts to make car reliable ie engine, radio gear, bearings, gears, gear carrier etc, or you could just buy an mcd if you can afford it, might seem expensive initially but will save you headaches and cash in the future as the quality much better!!

You have also trouble with MCD Car´s.
Broken Diffhouses, broken diff´s - only the new 2008 diff - generation is better.
You need also an alloy geartower and alloy mid diff mounts for MCD.
FS is much cheaper - the quality is not so good as mcd - thats right.
I took MCD Diff´s for my FS.

I doubt that he will get problems with the diffhouses, this problem depends one how you jump and land, with a rally car I doubt that he is going to jump with it. BTW the problem is known in Turkey and from this week there will be reinforced and stronger diff housings.

You don't need an aluminum geartower and aluminum diff mounts thats not true. I drove/raced my Baja1000 ProLine over one year without problems at this parts. The only thing you need is the steel gear for the second transmission level. The aluminum parts are bling bling or for serious racer. I DID have some problems with the diffs but I got them replaced for free.

Greetings
SilverSteel

Yes, thats thrue - but you paid for it, if you bought an MCD.
I´m sorry - the real MCD is too expensive for that you get for ...

Does anyone have a picture of FS MT next to the MCD MT? I would lie to really see how similar they are & compare the dimensions.

Thanks,
Tom

i had a look for mcd 1/5 scale on-roads, and the proline on-road rally (http://powerslideracing.com.au/index...roducts_id=439) is $1,640.00 AUD without and engine, radio gear and servos!!!
the fs racing on-road car is around $900-$1000 AUD, ready to run. it may be of less quality than the mcd initially, but if you replace the failure-prone parts(see fs thread), with mcd parts, or the fs racing alloy parts, the car should be fine, and the overall price will still work out to be cheaper than a rolling mcd chassis.

@ tom111
they only sell the Baja1000 and the RaceRunner for that price. But no problem to convert a Baja1000 to a MT, someone did it here in the forum. You need the tires, the body and the side guards (not essential) thats it.

www.mogatech.de and http://webshop.rc4fun.net/ sell them for this special price, email them and ask if they ship to Israel, maybe the VAT is also coming off (19%)
