Did it run fine before it stopped?Even if it has a spark,it might be a weak spark that dont "survive" inside the cylinder due to the pressure.Try to change the spark plug before you rip it apart, also check that the stopswitch is off (i mean, not pushed in and holding itself there)

Yep' that'll do it, you'll probaly need a cylinder and piston.

Were the c clips in the piston? If they were it looks like it got too lean.

The engine was too lean.
Here is one of mine

i had this happen only 2 times on me and both were hi speed runs( full ffin tilt) and both had less than four tanks, i think these zens need more brekin period b4 they are run wide open, im not sayin its your problem just tellin u what happen to me, these cyl have a beter lining than cy and therefor take longer to seat the ring and breakin, i no otheres will disagree but im puttin in my 10 centsnow im pretty sure this is y some builders cut the upper end down on zen pistons to give them some type of relief when they expand, talk to sean hes a good guy to deal with hope things work out for u,,

which c clips do you mean
also how can i tell if it is or was an oneil 27.2cc engine and do i need to conact them for a replacement
i just keep pouring money in to this thing will there be a point were the money stops going in and you end up with a bullet proof car
thanks again

The c clips I was refering to are the ones that hold the piston pin in the piston.
You'll need to check the crank shaft and see what it is, a 27.2 has a 2mm stroked crank. If it is just a stock crankshaft you can put a stock 26cc Zen cylinder and piston on that'll save you a bunch of money.
That failure I posted above was due to a crapped carb!

Keep pouring money into it and I don't think it will make the car bulletproof. At least mine still break with all the expensive mods done. lol

This is the kit that is probaly in your engine, you will absolutely need to split the case and see what crank is in it.

oh man that sux. [X(]

Try breaking in the engine with 25:1 ratio and use real 2 cycle oil, not synthetic. Don't go over 1/2 throttle and just be smooth on yout on/off throttle transitions and not any fast starts and stops. A good "warm up" tank, then let it cool, and then run the second tank with more middle to upper range throttle with a few drawn out near full throttle runs. Third tank, after the engine is warmed up....leter rip ! after 4th tank, reduce to between 28:1 and 32:1 oil and if you want , switch to AMSoil Interceptor synthetic or stick with the regular oil.

Ive broken in 3 engines sofar this way and they all run strong as hell.

greed1 if u no for sure u got the +2mm stroker crank in there all u need is this
http://www.oneillbrothers.com/rccar/...d_machined.htm

its not hard to see if u look at the side of your crank in the engine it should be there printed stroker +2mm
even if this scoring has still happen i would pull it and clean out the caseing and bearings of any debree that has accumilated in there just to be safe,
