RE: Time for a new exhaust!!!!
The x-can won't be better than the HPI tuned pipe. My brother put a DDM Dominator side pipe on his 5B and it made a huge power gain over the HPI pipe.

try the baja rear DDM dom..... it will wake up your engine too

And i don't really like the looks of the side pipes so a rear one might be the only choice for me.Hows the jetpro V3,it would seem like its better protected than the DDM pipe?

I like my JP v3, nice pipe and with the option of using the silencer is a plus. Protected, well they all hang out some and all have been damaged some how. Its just the nature of the hobby.

RE: Time for a new exhaust!!!!
Im running this pipe and like it way better then the ss stock. I picked up a HBZ rear bumper, and it gurards the pipe very well.

One thing i noticed is that the pipe sticks out to the left pretty far, won't stones(gravel) spun out by the rear tires put dents in it?

Won't that bumper bend to a hard hit to the rear?

RE: Time for a new exhaust!!!!
if you want the most insane power extraction from your baja5b engine , the TGN sidemount pipe is the ultimate in power full stop , i run there pipes on both my baja5b's , second best pipe is the rear mount DDM pipe .

It may, but I'v bent the pipe already with the stock bumper and was able to bent it back with out much effort. This bumper will help protect the pipe much better. Its rock solid, Im not worried about it bending. Plus the pipe isnt situated directly behind the wheel....so dont wory about it. This is what mine looks like...

RE: Time for a new exhaust!!!!
I've heard from many people that the DDM Dominator is the best all around pipe, (and the very best rear mount pipe). They say is has crazy bottom end torque, yet still has a great mid to top end. I'll be purchasing mine here in a month or so. The cool thing is that they just dropped from $159 to $129. Not bad, considering the stock HPI pipe runs at about $100. I wouldn't dare run it without one of the bumpers from HBZ, or you could try the new bumper Modified RC is coming out with. He's a member on HPI Baja Forum, and has some pretty nice parts. Good Luck....

RE: Time for a new exhaust!!!!
Just got my DOM rear pipe and noticed that the mounting bracket doesn't line up with the rear bumper screw hole.Did someone else ever run into this problem?
I also got a HBZ rear bumper and i simply can't figure out what those short screws are for that they send along with the bumper.Their about the shortest screws(only about a quarter inch long) i ever seen!!!!!!
