That does look good. BTW, what is the current exchange rate of British pounds to USD? With the USD value so volatile right now, it is impossible for me to keep up.

Wow, that is a good price. MCDs are usually more than $1500 USD, so that $850 is a killer MCD price.

you can get the same buggy from largescalerc for 1200 shipped. But 850 still is darn right cheap .

Looks like reality finally slaped them in the face or should I say their wallets...... its about time a engine was included and at 1/2 the original cost of a rolling chassis.

If they want to survive they have to compete.....they had a momopoly on the 1/5 4x4 market...that day has come and gone....I told people MCD will be dropping thier prices a year ago to keep up with the market.

If they can sell the 4x4 MCD for $850 with a engine now and still make a profit.......how much profit do you think they were making with the rolling chassis for $1500, no engine no radio

As many time as I have ordered from across the pond ......I have yet to get charged a import tax on any car or part

Reason being it's a Sport model. They have just gotten all of the sport models finished & these will have better pricing than a competition. Kinda like FG, only the FG comp. models have always been crazy expensive. There is now an MCD for everyone's budget.

But arent the FG competion models intergrated with most of the FG alloy hopups and brakes.........Do MCDs come with front and rear alloy upgrades and brakes....I dont think so

But like you said now theres a MCD for all budgets

Still being WAY cheaper that an alloy FG. The alloy is more of an on-road thing to me. I wouldn't run that on an off-roader anyway.

That is a great price for the Comp model, well worth me to actually look at one. I am going to hit that link again and look for the comp model and see what all goodies it comes with.

when i lived in the uk i bought from modelsport...i'd have no reservations ordering from them at all.
Shame the baja 1000 isn't the same price, I'd be tempted if it were. wow, mcd have finally smelt the roses and added an engine and slashed prices.

Hellya, you say finaly they have added an engine, maybe they didn`t in the states but thes have had engines fitted for a long while now it`s not a new thing. But when i saw MCDs about 3 years ago they didn`t come with engines and were very pricey.
Thanks
Guy

seems like the currency exchange rate is off a bit though for us.. i have been checking some sites and and when i put in 649 euros is comes out to $874 roughly.. and the prices just changed on there site.. the comp model is now 726 euros it went up 77 euros.. where as the sport model dropped in price to 614euros from 649..lol
hmm are they watching this thread
