Default Wheel Hop?

How can I eliminate the wheel hop during acceleration? I have a Duratrax Firehammer MT.

try switching your tires front to rear my buddy had this problem with his fhmt. another thing is check your tires to see if you have water in them,or you may have mud/ dirt stuck to the backside of your wheels. it may have something to do with your foams also. he eventually just got fg tires and that took care of the problem

Yup,,sounds like some over lap of foam when they incerted inside the tire....or a bad rubber cased tire...last but not least out of round wheel..
possiable bent axle....or drive cup... Bad wheel bearing.....along with what speedy said.....AKASlawhammer

Thanks, I will rotate the tires and check the foam inserts to see if that helps. Where is the best place to buy FG tires?

mbe301,
so far every set of smartech(firehammer) tires we have tried have done this, i have a set from a titan that are so bad you cant get on the throttle on any kind of smooth surface. the problem is less noticeable when running thru the grass. this problem is one of the reasons i started the tires and wheels thread.

I run these on my firehammer, they're massive. Wish I could get some axel extenders though, for a bit more stability.

I put the FH tires on my FS buggy (after balancing them better with putty)
