Default 60 MPH??? FG Competion 4x4 Brushless Lipo ...WOW

check out the photos......your looking at about a $5000 electric FGMT.....the cost of the truck plus 2000 euros for the conversion.

...........Check out the videos

First one is with 8S2P and no wheelies http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=xAjjKHV6B7c

Second one is with 8S1P only and there's no need to have 4WD: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=mZQR_Xubr8o

a Lehner 3040/12 BL-engine with approx. 6-7 hp and a Schulze ESC 32.170. I use either 8S1P to enjoy a lot of wheelies or 8S2P to have extra weight and runtme and keep all 4 wheels on the ground

The calculated speed should be 60+ mph with the original gear-ratio (16/48) but I took a shorter ratio (14/48) to get more torque as it is still fast enough.
The highest temperatures i got were 140°F at the ESC and 120°F at the engine.
the 5th photo....the small engine is a Lehner 1930 out of a E-Maxx to give you an impression of the engine size. The weight is 2.2 pounds.
The front part of the flange is custom made; the rear part is taken out of a FG EVO 04. With this unit I can use the engine in the Monster as well as in my EVO 04 and it takes less than 30 min. to change the unit.

Looks nice, as with all electrics, very good acceleration from the instantaneous torque.

I wonder if these have the torque to turn higher gear ratios for more top speed? Maybe a 2speed gearset can bring in a nice top speed.

What is the run time on your FGMT, and what batteries are you using?

I would have to agree, without that sweet sound, naaa not for me, great work and good luck with it, but I need to smell that gas and smoke and here that sweet sound just rip down the track..

Good luck with it!
