can someone tell me what the difference is in the 2 speed kit for the onroad and off road.
is it just the gears that are different? can any 2 spped kit fit on any fg model?

RE: 2 speed , onroad off road
On road 2 speeds are usually clutch type for softer engagement, think of it as a stock type granny transmission.
Off road 2 speeds are usually cam type for instant engagement, think of it as a built with a shift kit racing auto transmission.
All 2 speed trans that Ive seen are specific for a particular application.

The are basically the same set up with the exception of different gears and the gear carrier. The onroad carriers are smaller than the off-road ones.

onroad gears are 42 and 40 offroad are 46 and 44 everything else is identical, the smaller 47mm 2nd gear hub is an option for the 38 t spur
