Default baja 5b carb.

i bought a used baja 5b rtr for 200.00 and loved it so i bought another one that has a 29 cc port and polished motor but the one with the bigger motor doesnt have a choke on the carb. is there a reason for this? and is this going to be a problem. i use the choke alot to start the rtr model. thanks bruce

You set you base needles at H 1 & 1/2 out from closed L 1 & 1/4 out from close..It adjusts just like any other carb..Just make sure you do it in
very small adjustments.....To start..pull the tx trigger about 4 times..It may take 4 too 6 pulls to get started....If you flood it out..remove spark plug
turn up side down pull stsrter 3 or 4 times..to get the gas out..let sit 5 to 10 minutes to air out ..put in new dry plug ..try to restart...
once you get use to the 813 carb there great....AKASlawhammer

The reason it does not have a choke is for better air flow and less restriction in the venture. Many performance carbs not only on RC vehicles but even 1 to 1 are like this. This is why on many motorcycles they did away with the choke and went to an inrichner which has no restriction in the venture. They do make a volicitey stack that will fit with a choke on it but you should be able to get it started no problem since it has accelerator pump.
