Nice work, but isnt it going to be a bit too top/rear end-heavy?No wonder what it is if the car do wheelies I would rather used a 5 mm bolt and a large washer and a wingnut to shave some weight off it,but that is just me

I run an X can Lars so the little bit of extra weight is not an issue for me,but with a DDM dom hanging off the back it just might be enough to push it over the top

Heres a couple of pictures of the carrier hndaman is talking about. It is built with quality and looks in mind. It installs in minutes and gives your baja a completely new look. I have not had a problem with it yet. I used a front tire on the post. I believe you can also order the mount with the ability to mount a rear tire. I wanted to save the weight and had a spare front tire.
For the price you cant lose and it is a great product.

Cause there are people out there that can take a product and "MODIFY" it from how it was made and if it breaks they want a new one thats why it is a limited warranty on this one..

RE: DIY 5b wheel carrier
Forgive my ignorance, but why do you need to carry a spare wheel ON the car? I really don't intend to be mean about it, It's a neat mod, but I don't really see the usefulness. I suppose if you walk your baja to a park and run it around, the wheel would be another thing to carry, but for me, I'm either at home where all my supplies are in the house, or I take a car to a park (or elsewhere) where I usually bring a handful of spare parts (including tires).
