Default is this ok?

I wanna get a some power out of my ss baja and I was looking at getting this headkit http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.4755/.f Would this work fine with my motor? And is there anything else I would need to buy with this?

Thanks,
MAtt

Default RE: is this ok?

the 35mm bore kits tend to have more cylinder plating failures than the rest of the CY motors.

instead i would suggest this kit, http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.88...t.A/id.4170/.f

this is the CY made, model GP290 topend. this topend is 36mm and has MUCH better plating on the clyinder than any other cy motor. the port job is modest by comparrison of other more known builders like ESP, or CC Racing, but is a strong running topend. will give you more torque and top rpm over your stock 26cy motor.

or install the Zenoah race ported 260 topend which runs 99.00

regardless of which topend you isntall, do yourself and your motor the favor of installing a new set of Fast Eddy Crank Bearings (the SS 13.00 kit are GREAT) and a set of cy oil seals (6.00). other than the plating on most of the cy cylinders, the bearings are poor imho, and should be changed out.

I also recommend an aftermarket pipe. Makes a huge difference!

good poing DanH. you ll get more performance out of a good tuned pipe, than you typically will out of a new topend.

which pipe depends on what you want performance wise.
