2009 model MCD Ultimate monster truck
Anyone know when this thing will be available? It's the all alloy ultimate version of their MT with the new 2009 body.

I don't know, but I dread to think. I look forward to being pleasantly surprised. If it's reasonable, I'll seriously consider one. I'm planning on consolidating four or five models into a new one, and right now it looks to be the FG 4wd baja comp, but this looks interesting too. We'll see.

Yeah, for me it's either this or the FG 4x4 MT comp. We shall see.
RC is a disease I tell you, a horrible affliction.

Mogatech in Germany have it listed on their website at 2,490 euros!!!!! That's without an engine or the optional front/rear hydraulic brakes.
The French MCD importer/distributor is claiming the Race Runner Ultimate is to be released next month so one would assume the Monster Truck will be released soon afterwards.
However from what I understand the final price of the Ultimate models has not yet been determined and the release date is still some way off.

My MCD MT competition cost ~1800$ without engine, servos, battery, receiver etc (only 3 month ago), so I believe that the new comp version will cost 2300$-2500$ & this ultimate version will be somewhere over 3000$ add to that the servos electronics, tune pipe & other upgrades & you are somewhere around 4,000$, you can but a real truck for this amount

I can't remember where I found the pricing but I've posted somewhere on another forum....I'm pretty sure it was $2700US for the roller...I know it came close to $4000CAD with shipping, taxes etc....what planet are these guys from? I can build 3 rampages all alloyed up and bullet proofed for the price of one of these comp MCD's.

I just got an email from Troy at largescalerc, he didn't have a firm number but he said about $2400 with 28.5cc engine, no electronics. He said they should be arriving within a few days.
Sounds like a good price and engine to me. Will come to under $3000 RTR.

Yeah. I'm not too concerned about the review since it's basically an upgraded version of a very proven monster truck from an exceptionally good company.

Hm... that's still too much for a roller. It's exactly 1000E more expensive than an FG MT 4x4 Competition or an FG Baja 4x4 Competition (also without engine and brakes), which both have more alloy and weigh less. Sorry MCD, not just yet, I'm still looking forward to your future offerings though.
Sheo, just a by the way... I want to see a review cos I'm a bit concerned about weight of the Monster. The plastic cars were heavier than almost any other 1/5th model, and now that they are half alloy...[] Again, I look forward to being wrong...

According to them its 32lbs, which is 1lb less than the previous MT model - interesting if it's true.

32lb what a cow lol
$2500 not bad. I was thinking they were going to be closer to $3000, I guess they want to stay in line with FG Comp 4wd.
If they would just the brakes for that $ I think it would be a great deal.

RE: 2009 model MCD Ultimate monster truck
i saw a mcd truck today and looks scale and size it's hard to beat.
This mcd truck had a 29cc and it was chromed out. what i dont understand as powerful as the 29cc is, is how Elven Wizard's Pajero i saw many days ago had so much more power. for example before that i was at the desert there this one dude had a Trevor Simpon - ported engine, another a 30.5cc CY Stroker, another a 28.5 all in 5b's and all tricked looking and when you saw them they moved, they had power in there own right and I have to say none of those 5b's touched what that Baja Pajero could do. not even close. Does anyone out there know what the Wizard has in that Pajero ? Does anyone know him ? I want to get into a high performace 1/5 scale, I'm saving up alot of money. and I only want what that Pajero has.
help me out on this please
