Default New 5T body from Proline! Looks great!

I haven't seen this anywhere else. This is one SUPER nice looking body. Its definitely a far cry from Proline's first attempt for the 5T.

That's nice, was the first one just really weak or just ugly? I don't have a 5t, just curious.

Their first body was ugly and too small. I was pretty unimpressed with it. It will become my basher shell that will be unrelentlessly beaten. I just picked up a stock 5T body.

Nice find! Looks much better.

I'm kinda jealous when I see 5Ts, makes me wish I hadn't got rid of the 5B.

Proline's first body was not designed for the 5T is was designed for the 5B and the SS. It was made for the dimensions of the 5B and SS. That is why it does not look right on the 5T.

The 5B and 5T have the exact same wheelbase. It doesn't look right on the 5T because Proline fudged the wheelbase and dimensions up on the Desert Rat from the get go.

Well, to me it looks like Proline took a original 5T body and copied it almost exactly, except for the windshield and cab area look abit more square and ugly.
I'm sorry, but this looks like another attempt of someone copying someone elses original idea that had put the time and effort into developing it in the first place.

Another disappointment from Proline if you ask me.

(The more I look at it, they are so close in looking exactly alike, I wonder why they would even attempt to make this body.)

I have to agree, Dale, that new Proline 5T shell is definitely alot better looking than the first ProLine shell.

Definitely a large step forward in the appearance of their new shell!

^ Oh please, that's like saying all 1/8 buggies look the same and are copies of each other. The Pro-line truck body looks fine, no its not a huge difference from the HPI one but its a nice alternative.

btw, also notice how truggies all end up looking the same as well...

^ Oh please
LOL, I feel like I'm speaking to my sister..

Listen, if there selling this body for the same price or round about the original 5T body, there was no reason to bother to make it.
It should look different, thats all I'm saying.
Yes, it is 1000 times better then there first one in looks, but not in originality.

Well you might as well say no one should have copied from the original ideal of the full sized automobile, airplane, boat, train, television, radio, dvd player, etc, etc. Because no matter which company makes it, it's still an copy of someone's first ideal and HPI copied their body from the full size trophy trucks[>:]. So therefore are not HPI copy cats in their own little way[>:]! In other words let these company's do what they do best because they are all copying from someone[sm=50_50.gif]

I guess to be more original, what Proline could have done is scaled up their CrowdPleazer shell for the 5T, now that would have been very intersting too.

I am not a serious CORR fan, so I do not know the nuances in the bodies of one CORR truck from another, but to me, they look pretty much generic. I will have to look at them more closely, so dont take what I just said as my final stance; I am pretty sure I will change my thoughts as I see the differences between one full sized CORR body and another full sized CORR body.

To me, this new proline body looks more like a ford F-2000, while the hpi body looks more like a regular old CORR truck...

I think it looks good, but as mentioned earlier the Crowd Pleaser body in the 1/5th scale size would be excellent as well.
