Some say breaking in a 2stroke engine using a synth oil might prolong the time that the ring needs,in order to seat in properly.Personaly,I don't care on whether this statement is false or true,but I do care to use a PREMIX kind of oil and the right oil to gas ratio during break in process and since we use high RPM 2strokers,common sense leeds us to use good quality synthetic oils in order to stay on "the safe side" [8D]

So in other words, what dimago93 is trying to say, YES.
Then after it's broke in, continue to use synthetic oil in the ratio the manufacture recommends. Then you can experiment, at you own risk, with your own ratio.
