Hi guys,

Wel it looks like the quality of the Rovan Terminator Kitt so far is terrible.

Sometimes no holes in the parts where its suposed to be.
Very simple manual but you can download the real version for the exact way to build it.
I saw a few double parts and some parts are missing...[:'(]

Thats the update so far guys...if you ask me its not worth a 600us but more like 400us...and i have my thoughts on the KM1000 when it ever comes out on the market.
In that state I would say its less than worthless. No holes for screws where they are needed? Seriously?

The body is twice as thick as the orgininal body and if its bashable? i don't know...it looks pretty strong

Km only has the conversion kitt and not complete car...

Keith...so far KM hasn't got a 5T truck!
Only Rovan has a 5T truck...and quality so far is....terrible
Wow.. that just put a damper on things.. Not point in buying something that isnt made well.

Well Guys a kitt is not always a good sollution..

The delivered 2.4ghz looked like it has nog electronics, sad thing is the engine cap on the side where they stop button is...there's a 3cm wide crack.

But all is going to be replaced by Rovan.

And just for those who think KM does have a 5T ready..... Mr.Wei Fan himself told me he should have the 5T ready last may.
Then hey told me on the 10th of june, now he doesn't respond on msn...so i don't trust him anymore peeps.

Empty housing? There are no electronics in it at all?
Is anyone else experiencing problems with Rovan stuff or could this be an isolated case?

Rovan is taking care of all missing parts and everything is settled in a good way.
So its better to get a RTR version so these issues can't come up anymore.
Mistakes happen and as long as the company solves it...no problem.

Transmitter and reciever are working...now we need a manual.

Not to be a downer on this but it seems that for the few hundred you save that you would be better off buying the real deal with real support and all the correct parts and manuals included!! Just to build the car as a kit? You will end up taking the real 5T apart anyway! and the parts quality im sure is better on the HPI! Save your money and buy the real deal!!

A lot of these cheap imports with no quality control end up being far more trouble than they're worth. Better off just getting the real thing.

I don't fully agree because this was not a RTR version, and mistakes are easy to make.
Furthermore i can't say anything about the quality since we didn't drive with the cars yet.

Time will tell

I agree, but convincing anyone of that point that does not want to believe it is pretty much impossible. As you can see, the prospect of spending less money on toys is more important than principles like stealing is wrong, and so is supporting those who steal.

I have built many kits and actually, I have yet to come across a kit that came up with missing parts. And I have also heard of kits missing at most one part or maybe just a screw, but never more than that.
Since these guys are sending you, a perspective dealer/retailer, a kit to check out, that is actually terrible that they did not do their damn best to give you as perfect a kit as possible to impress you.

That raises the question: If they are going to send you, the dealer/retailer, a kit missing all sorts of parts, how will their bigger orders compare when you are ready to sell to the public?
Yes, there are hundreds upon hundreds of parts that make up an RC; but strict quality controls from the manufacture is what near eliminates such mistakes.

But consider this since anyone who buys the kits will come to you first for when there are missing part. At the very least, you should express strongly that you will not retail a product that is missing parts and you expect nothing less than a complete and problem free product. That is only good business; you have an obligation to satisfy your customers, and as a result, you should express that these guys have an obligation to satisfy you! You always have the right to turn them down and retail a different product if they cannot or will not comply.

I agree with some points that are said offcourse and as you see in my signature i own two original HPI Baja's.
I was suprised to see such alot of parts that are missing from these Rovan 5T's in the KiTT version's.
When i contacted the company they give me no excuse but told me not to worry because missing parts are taking care of and send to me.

I have got the first missing parts but not all parts so i have to contact them again.

I've been reading alot about the quality of KM and since Mr.Wei Fan didn't have the 5T ready i went to Rovan.

As for the copying and stealing i agree the had to change some parts so its not a complete clone.
Futhermore i think its better to have more company's that sell a simular product for a varity of prices and quality difference.
The choice is yours and i don't like a monopoly position in a market.
People that can't affort HPI and really want such a car are very happy with these cars.
But i agree the quality must be good.
