I hope this is just for emergency use as the gaskets are just around a £ a set,but maybe you can use some household aluminium foil and shape it to fit around the exhaust port?

Around the house? Really nothing. Dont get anything around the house for your RC, that is nothing short of jury-rigging and a quick fix to set you up for failure.

As Lars said, the actual RC gaskets are cheap. If you must use a non-RC gasket, you might want to look at automotive grade gasket material and cut out gasket shapes for your engine.

Dont skimp on your RC that cost you hundreds of pounds to get it. Use proper materials and parts (unless your engine is on its last leg and you are about to get a new one).
