Default pinion selection

I just upgraded my tires rims to the desperado excavator combo. Obviously wheels are much bigger than before. should i change the pinion gear? if so, to what?

Looking at your signature and what tires you are running you are talking about a HPI 5t? I would try it and see how it does. On the HPI baja depending on what pinion you go to many times you all so have to change the spur as well.
See the chart in this link.

If you are running the 5B or T you should be good with the ratio they come with. The 5T has immense bottom end and the 5B has excellent bottom end. I would try it first then decide..
