HELP!! Should I buy this BAJA 5B SS??
My uncle lives in Finland and has a Hpi BAJA 5B SS he wants to sell me real cheap. I was wondering if I should buy it and if so, do you think I would have to make any major changes to the engine because of the gas there vs the gass here in the US or anything like that? Thank you, in advance!

if it's cheap go for it, even if you need to replace the carb it's no big deal you can get one cheap enough at [link=http://www.davesmotors.com/site/index.html]DDM[/link]

nah man the gas there has nothing to do with the gas in the usa , if you do get it just run the highest gas octane rating they sell at the pump you have there in the usa , just remember to mix 2stroke oil with the fuel , its 25:to 1 to 5 litres of fuel , its about 150ml of 2stroke oil to 5 litres of fuel , thats what i do .

I will run great using the stock carb, nothing needs to be changed and you can run any grade fuel in it and have a blast!
BUY IT!

RE: HELP!! Should I buy this BAJA 5B SS??
Has he done any up grades to it? The version one has some weak points in the transmission the later ones they took care of this. Up grades you need to do ASAP are
#1 KILL SWITCH
http://www.rckillswitch.com/index.html
Keep in mind these cars weight from 22 to 30 pounds so a run away can be BAD!!!!!!!!!!!
On the transmission you need to up date the plastic diff housing to the later SS alloy one.
All so on the early version there is only one bearing inside the transmission on the gear shaft where the later has 2 so you need to add that bearing.
I am sorry to say that large scale is WAY more expensive then 1/8. []
