Default Conley V8 - What to put it in...?

Ok, So.... I am an avid engine collector, although mostly vintage stuff. I happen to get my hands on a very early version Conley V8 at a very good price. This engine is well before he began building engines from castings; it is a full machined V8 on glow.
I really dont have any intentions on running it much but think for display purposes it really needs a good home inside some sort of chassis. I am thinking perhaps a 1/4 scale dragster would be the perfect fit.... Just cant seem to find any suppliers out there for an appropriate chassis.
Anyone have suggestions on what to do with it or, perhaps, a supplier of larger scale cars I can paruse??

TIA,
Todd

You could put it in my mailbox! hahahaha

Seriously, whatever you put it in, post some build pictures and info. Those are great scale engines! [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Anything you put it in will look good...Maybe a Cobra?

I think you should run it, just for a couple minutes and make a video

Todd

I notice the engine was passed in on eBay at US1824-99

Item 160385211149 (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEAT-CONLEY-V-8-...item2557b41b0d)

I had looked at the listing, and another that's on eBay at the moment (at 4000+usd) out of the UK but thought it was a bit pricey for one of the early glow motors.

I've been keeping an eye out for one of the later spark motors for a sprintcar. For the money they're asking though, for me it's probably just as cheap to buy one of Conley's latest motors even if they are a fraction bigger.

QSL is an excellent site with stacks of pictures for inspiration. Mike Casey is also very good with help on any matter too. I'd start there and see what you come up with.
