Very cool, the vette body will be good the smaller and more aero dynamic the better. Modify it ! Are you going to race?
You are better of with one single battery. Iwas thinking of splitting also, you take a risk in each battery not equally balancing. Idid research and listened.
Ibuilt my own 1/5 Electric, the power has been Insane !! I have had to reduce the power on the Castle Mamba Monster ESC several times. It still Screams all 4 wheels (AWD) off the line for several feet ! It once jumped off the ground and onto it's side from a dead stop when Ipulled the trigger.
I am using a 6S lipo 4000 120 amp constant. Ihad a large sedan body on it which has really killed the performance and speed over 45mph, but Ihave reach 62mph according to onboard GPS, many times at 55mph.
Iam Very happy with my Castle Creations 2200 Brushless motor.
