Chokeless 813 carb question.
Hi i have just started to use my used baja (Hope you like the paint job done yesterday). Anyway i have an MCD Race Runner And MCD Monster truck these both have carbs with chokes, so i usaly prime, one pull with choke then on 2nd pull starts with choke off.
With the chokeless is it normal to take upto around 5 pulls? is there a knack? also i`m not sure wether it sucks in too much fuel but it feels like when you hydrolock a nitro sometimes and i have broke one plastic ring inside a pull start!
Luckily i had others lying around.
Many thanks
Guy

RE: Chokeless 813 carb question.
the way i start mine is: 3-4 pumps of the primer bulp on the carb, then 3 full pulls of the throttle on the remote, then a few pulls of the pull starter and they start. these carbs have pumps inside them. and when you pull the throttle the pump shoots fuel into the motor. it's called an accelerator pump.
