Baja Skunkworks HPI Baja Estimated Speed Calculator
So here is a custom calculator that I came up with for you guys. I hope this proves to be a valuable tool.
http://www.bajaskunkworks.com/Speed_Calc/
-Start by selecting if you have a 5T or a 5B. This will determine which layshaft drive gear you have.
-Then input your expected engine RPM.
-Input your pinion gear size. The spur gear size is automatically calculated.
-Input your tire diameter
-Estimate your tire growth from 0% - 60%. Default is 0%.
-Estimate your traction from %100 - 0%. Default is %100.
-Click on the "Calc." button and you get your estimated Baja Speed!
Let me know what you think or if something needs to be fixed. I don't know how much I can do. I know absolutely nothing about Java and had to give myself a crash course to get this simple script going for you guys.
As far as the rest of the website ignore it for now. I haven't touched it in almost a year and it needs some serious updating.
