Default is this new from hsp?

Hi,
Well, I came across this:
http://www.engagerc.com/servlet/the-...4WD-Gas/Detail

Does anyone know where I can get some review of it? It looks very much like the nuteck. maybe it is a clone of some sort?

i saw this earlier today...definitely has HSP ala rampage diff housings, batt box, centre diff set up, shocks...rear arms look the same also...so my bet would be made by HSP...it's not on their website so may be a consignment order from a rebadger...it actually looks pretty good and says it only weighs 9kg which is 2 kg lighter than the TB2.
it'll be on a chinese bulk seller webpage somewhere if engage has got a hold of it...though they are not in stock there

I wonder if a Rampage can be converted into one of these?

We dont have alot of information but this looks to be a new Redcat 1/5 model geared more for on track performance.

nice find Bentley...now all we need to know is is it a POS or not...it certainly looks good for track use but could fall apart as soon as it starts...the light impaction version header doesn't bode well[&:] sounds like it needs a dentist

looking closer there are definitely HSP parts on there but as we know many chinese manufacturers don't actually make any of their own parts...they are made by third party vendors to their specs...however once a vendor starts making parts he can sell them to anyone i guess...so if company x has a mold (and paid for it) for the HSP batt box he can sell those parts to whoever wants them.. there looks to be a whole mishmash of bits from other cars...looking closer there seems a lot of shengqi parts are on there
a bit more perusing the chinese consignment sellers websites to find it and can then find who holds the patent

Hey Moo, I dont think those are Rampage Diff cases, these have swaybar mounts built in. It looks to me like its a Rampage midsection with some new front/rear diffs/suspension. Time will tell how it performs. I just wish there was more room for a rear exit pipe.
Heres a closeup of the front diff.

The Redcat Piggybacks have the knurled nuts at the bottom. Those shocks look just like the Piggyback shock bodies and a regular non piggyback cap.

I emailed engagerc, they said it is not HSP as well. But they won't tell me who is the factory.
They also offer roller for it too...
http://www.engagerc.com/servlet/the-...%2C-4WD/Detail
I wonder if Redcat parts can be use with this.

Looks like little support on front and rear suspension towers? Chassis flex a possibility?

HSP isn't exactly fast at updating their site. But, as stated before, it's got the HSPish look to it. The "4wd" sticker is all HSPish font.

it can't be an HSP because the body is somewhat appealing. Get it straight

I take it your still mad over the Rampage thread? Its ok, you'll get over it. Just tell me I was wrong.
I guess we will see in a few months "who" is actually manufacturing them.
Just for the record, "understand" is a single word.
I will agree, the TT bodies are pretty damn ugly.

Are you kidding me? Is that the best you could come up with? <insert sarcasm>Here I was thinking Redcat was making all these models for HSP, Exceed and countless others. Thanks for enlightening me
