Well they are pricey here to.
This is actually my most expensive start to an R/C yet. With not many mods at all I have surpassed the $3000.00 mark and that was all done in one week. But I have really high hopes for this truck so it should be worth it.

Very nice, that engine and pipe should amaze you. If it's your first MCD you'll also notice how nicely they handle, excellent weight distribution.

It's so nice... I had a nutech i had to get rid of but if I am ever able to buy another 5th scale... the Baja would be my choice, I always wanted one. My question is does it still use those (problematic from what i hear?) planetary diffs?

Now I am just waiting on the Vertigo parts to show up, and the order from DDM with the chrome engine bits, slammer engine mesh, and the voltwatch, then I can start putting this sucker together.
I also want to give a Huge shout out to Jason at High Performance Hobbies In Calgary. If it wasn't for his store I never would have bought an MCD. Here in Canada we have no dealers and that's why I have stayed away from MCD or FG. But by accident I stumbled on to his website and couldn't believe what he sold and how much he had in stock.
Everything you see in the pix he had in stock including the truck, motor, pipe, and everything else. Canadians its awesome to have somebody here in Canada to buy off of.

Pic of some of the parts I picked up as well as Parts that came with the truck.

Hey what your referring to is yeah an issue they had in the V2's This is a V3 and they made the diffs stronger by adding another tooth to the planetary gears.
and the V4's are now doing the same...in one race in Finland 3 V4's retired with munched planetaries

Well the only other 4x4 1/5 I have owned was a redcat rampage mt. That was just a pos so this truck doesn't have to be that much better. However, from all the research I have done this truck will kick ass.

Wicked!! pics
the planeterys hold up but need maintanence regulary. the lsd's are problem solved and a good investment in the long run and will save you heaps of downtime.

Do you know if the problem is more in the front or rear or both?
I won't be buying the LSD's anytime soon. But something I will look into if I start having problems.

Looking good, good luck with it. Two things I see you missed is you really need to get a kill switch and lose that spekky. Get a futaba or airtronics system.
