Radio Gear

Hi all, where is the best place to make a hole on the reciever box. From the servos to the reciever on an FG MB. Should I go through the bottom or where the radio lid goes on.
Just wondering what methods you guys used.
Cheers.

The hollow tubing and piece is screwed into, there's a indentation that you see from the inside of the box that you can drill through. That means the wire goes straight up into the tubing- with no exposed aerial.

I don't think you understood my post Mad Wax [:o]... I need to make a hole where the leads of the servos go through to connect to the receiver?
Cheers

ah sorry. I used a knife to cutaway a section in the lower half- cutting down from the lip of the RX box, facing the steering servos. The section I cut away was about 8mm across- enough for all cables from and to RX.

it doesn't really matter where you cut a hole but for better looks, you can drill a hole on the bottom side of the radio box. Use a 1/2" drill bit and it should look fine.:D

just drilled a large hole big enough to feed servo connectors through the bottem corner of receiver box.the newer radio trays have space for extra brake servo - just use that space to feed them up and through.

anyone installed a rubber grommit to stop any chance of the box wearing away at the wire sheathing?
