Here's a little sneek peak at a new car we have been working on. It's still in the proto-type stage but we've had a lot of interest in seeing it. Give me some feedback or thoughts.

FG performance, I really like the way the rear end was designed. reason being i have a Monster H2 and im sick and tires of the engine moving and stripping the layshaft gear. Now i see your running a belt design back there in that layshaft area witch looks like to be a solid axle design. so gear play free and no worries about engine movement.. i wish FG did something like that with these trucks because it would sure save alot of people alot of money :)

What kind of motor is powering that drag car? Also again with that rear end set-up, does it seem to put alot of power down to the grown being possi and with such a very shot axle? I imagine it would scoot!! sorry for so many questions

What is the plan for the front end, gas tank, servo mounts etc...? Looks to be a pretty good start you have there. Do those tires hook up ok?

It is great to see all the positive feedback. Most of the car is based on FG parts and the body is a MMR Nascar body that has been highly modified. I'll be taking some more detailed pictures of the running gear and other unique parts within the next day or so.

Oooohh so there is a layshaft gear... in the first pic it looks straight up belt driven in the rear end [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Anyway, Why are there 2 brake rods??

Why the double brake rods???

Nice work. The static axle must really throw a lot of torque to the rear drive, is there any chassis flex ? On my initial look, I thougt the front end was quite heavy, and the gas tank too large for a dragster as you want to be aslight as possible and have as much power as possible, but without a dif, I'm sure you have no problem with power, and trying to keep the nose on the ground is quite a job in itself on take off !

Nice work :) I hope to see more people doing this sort of stuff with the big scale as it seems to be a trend that is becomming quite popular.

RE: Fg drag car

Noticed we had alot of questions about the dual brake rods. We have the third channel hooked to the extra servo for a transbrake and it will hold it to about 8000 RPM's and the clutch becomes fully engaged at 10500 RPM's so it makes for a nice launch. Sometimes we hold the brake a few feet out to prevent wheel spin. Let me know if you have any more questions.

The rear bulkheads are custom and are all the parts off the shelf?

RE: Fg drag car

That really looks great.
Keep up the good work.
When is this going to be available? Is it going to be a roller, or in kit form?

RE: Fg drag car

The rearbulkheads are FG Comp. F1 factory bulkheads and the axel was custom made and the pullys are off the F1 also.
