Samba 5 Silicon Tube

Hi all,

I recently purchasd a Samba 5 for my FG tourer and it's a nice difference compared to the FG 3 piece tuning pipe.
The samba came with a silicon tube about 2cm long that fits nicely inside the stinger. I called the shop to find out what it's for and was told told that they don't use them so I don't need to either but would not tell me what it's used for.
Can anyone enlighten me on what it's for?
Thanks
Rudy

Thanks for the pic Krets. Great idea and I will do the same with mine with a large tube. But the supplied tube is small diameter and would not fit around the circumference, fits nicely inside the pipes outlet. Does anyone else know what it's for.

Thanks
Rudy

It goes over the spring to stop the spring rubbing on the pipe.
