HPI new pipe for the Baja
 

Does anybody know how the new HPI pipe works, compared to the ddm or jetpro pipes. I have the ddm now it is great all around pipe. I had the jetpro before i got the ddm that was a awsome pipe, but it got smashed alot in roll overs. The ddm get smashed some times too but not that bad. The hpi pipe looks like is will never get hurt inside the buggy, so i was thinking about getting it if I don't lose performance.

I was wondering about it's performance also. I doubt it will provide the sheer power of some of the larger pipes, but quite frankly I think slightly less power for a good looking pipe that doesn't hang out like a loose banana would be a good investment (IMO). HPI tends to release good stuff (take the Baja 5B for example), so I'd have to thing the pipe would be half way decent.

Anyone actually running one yet?

I have 1 and I love it......tons of power on the top end but you loose a bit on the bottom end...Sounds just like a real dirt bike.......louder then the X-can....But there is a down side, the hpi pipe can be bent/dented just as easily if you hit it just right on a roll over..It is made of thin aluminum...

I've been running the hpi pipe for some time now, love it! I used to run a ddm pipe, great pipe also. The downfall to the ddm is the weight and were the weight sits. The little lost power that you get with the hpi pipe is all made up in the fact that it weights next to nothing! My opinion the best pipe out there for the baja at the current time!

If one of you guys, or someone else ever gets a video of a Baja with the HPI pipe on it, post it on here. I would realy like to hear how it sounds.

I have the stock, stock gutted out, Jetpro, X-can and now the HPI pipe.
X-can is best overall for protection, it has ZERO damage.
Jetpro is great but its a mess. Still works just bent all to hell. (im giving it away to another member)
The HPI pipe is my favorite because of the sound, looks, and some protection.
It still will get some damage but not to bad.
The weak point is the header, it needs to be made of steel.
