Sobox "Vampire"...any good??
Folks,
Sobox planes has a 3.6 M, F3J type TD plane called the"Vampire".
It looks nice, and has a really good price...except I don't know of ANYONE who owns one, or has flown one.
Anybody out there able to give me any info on it?
Love that 80% of the work is done already!
Thanks for any info or comments,
Pud

Ive never flown or seen the vampire fly however I have one of there planes which is the first+. Its by far the best plane of seen in the air. Holds speed unbelivable well..
IMO though they are far to weak. The fuse has no carbon tows and its very very light glass, their wing mount setup is also very dicky. I was disapointed in the strenght of the first+, the vampire may be better.

Thanks!
Hey thanks Occy,
appreciate the reply.
Their web site says the following about the Vampires' fuse:
". It has a slip off cone nose. The fuselage itself is made out of fiber glass reinforced with carbon and Kevlar."
So, I don't know how strong it is, hopefully strong enough!
Sure does look nice, I just need a little more info before I spend my hard-earned cash on one.
Best to 'ya!
