    Fliteglas Miskeet I

Anyone know history of this sailplane?
    Is it a decent flier?

    RE: Fliteglas Miskeet I

I believe it may have been a magazine plan way back in it's day and then the design was pickedup by Fliteglass. At least that's what my spotty memory is telling me. Flying Models perhaps?

DANG! I was right! No picture though. From the 07/69 issue.

At any rate it's a pretty looking thing with a typical flat bottom floater airfoil that was so common back then. If you score a kit and the fuselage is still in useable condition you could either make it as is for the Nostalgia event or if you want a little more zoom-zoom from it update the airfoil to something like the AG airfoil used on Mark Drela's Allegro Lite.

    Thanks, BMatthews'
I did get the kit today and the fuse is fine. Unfortunately, the fuse was loose in the box with no packing and most of the ribs were crushed. Not sure what I'll do.

When life squishes your lemons all you can do is make lemonade.....

This would be an opportunity to upgrade the design if you're not going to use it in the Nostalgia Sailplane class. Go for the same rib and sheeting plan as Mark Drela used on his Allegro Lite. Google for "allegro lite" to find the site with plans.

I built one in the 70's. Great flying plane.
