Spirt Elite
Hi Everyone. First posting on RC Universe, so here goes.
Has anyone tried to convert the Spirt Elite ARF from pure glider to E.P.? If so could you give some of the details on how it was done? Motor size battery used, mounting and harddware.
Also, has anyone used aCarbon fiber rod instead of the included steel joiner rod? OR subed carbon fiber control rods for the metal ones to save weight?,
Haven't flown it yet and would like to do some or all these mods before test flight.
Thanks for your input.

RE: Spirt Elite
I tinkered with the idea of a carbon rod but at the time I built it finding 7mm rod stock was problematic.
I did sub the CST composite push rods for both weight and so that they didn't change length in the Florida sun and that worked well though the teflon outer shell was almost imposibble to get any glue to stick to. I eventually used thin CA soaked cotton balls to hold it down, they may not stick to the tube but they stick all around it to the fuse so they stay put.
