Megow Towline sailplane
I've recently come into possesion of a Megow Towline sailplane kit no. Z4. I've been told by some oldtimers it may be a collector's item but can't find any info on it. The box isn't in great shape but it appears to be complete.
Anyone have any info on it?
Thanks

A lot would depend on what the model is. A picture of the box or plans clearly showing which model design it is would help a lot.
But having said that anything by Megow is at least somewhat collectable IF the kit is complete. Otherwise it's going to be a LOT less for the box and plans. Even if it is complete it won't put your kids through college or buy you a new car. But it may sell for enough to buy all or most of the next engine you want.

There's no doubt that it's a pretty looking thing.
As for value from what I've seen around at swap meets if the kit wood has not been partly cut out then you're likely looking at a value of around $100 to $120. If you held out for just the right person you MIGHT get $150. Or you could have it sitting around at $100 for months and sell it right away at $80. But then I could be out to lunch on this since I only notice such things in passing as I'm not into collecting these old kits.

Thanks for the info, I'll keep it in mind. It doesn't seem to have generated any interest here.
I am more interested in getting it to someone who might do something with it than anything else.
