Default Ukraine Plane Prop Rotation

Does any one know which way the props turn on Ukraine planes ? I have a glider I bought from there with left hand side thrust.

That is a function of how you wire the motor. Normally you set the motor for clockwise rotation as seen from the pilot seat.

I absolutely answered your question. You asked which way the prop turns. It depends on how it is wired and what prop you are using.

The standard rotation is clockwise as viewed from the pilot's seat.

If you want it to turn the other way just change swap the wires on a brushed motor or swap any two wires on a brushless motor.

if you have a different question then ask it.

Since WWI and WWII, countries using Eastern Block aircraft have lived with "opposite rotating" props. May be something to do with your problem.

It's common to have right thrust used to counter our clockwise rotating props. It's sensible to expect left thrust would be used to counter "opposite rotation". I would say you're on the right track, but that would only be a guess.

It will probably take someone from over there to answer your question about the left thrust being a result of using counter clockwise rotating props. As for a solution that is easier than rebuilding your model's nose so you can use clockwise props.......... with luck, you can use a pusher prop if you can find the right size.

Trying to use one of "our" props isn't going to work effectively on a nose that points the "wrong way".

What prop is on the model now? Looking at the pitch angle will tell you if it's a clockwise or anticlockwise rotation prop.

If it has no prop then your options for a "pusher" or reverse pitch prop which will turn anticlockwise as seen from behind will be very limited. You'll likely end up having to alter the thrust offset to suit the more common props found in England.
