It is a nice concept! I call it a concept for one reason only - we do not see it yet in mass production.
It should reduce a vortex wing drug as I would imagine. Although wing is harder to fabricate.

We will have in a short time 2018 or 2019 an ultra light built in wing Colab in France with the company G1 Aviation, and put it into production and sell it. It is very easy to manufacture the wings contrary to what one might believe, and yes the pertubations that exist on a classic wing are indeed practically unnecessary on a wing Colab. If you want to make one in RC reduced model I can help you in the process and you will thus have a good idea of the wonderful qualities of flight of this revolutionary wing.
