Default Sailplane terms - Help me understand

There are some terms I see tossed around on the forum that I don't understand.

I know what a floater is; Light wing loading, usually slow flying.

Is that correct?

I believe full house means r/e/a/f with 4 wing servos.

Right?

What is a "glass slipper:?

What is a "gas bag"?

Any other obscure "in the club" terms you want to list and clarify would be helpful to all of us newer sailplane/glider flyers.

Thanks!

Right !
What is a "glass slipper:?
By "glass slippers" people usually mean modern type scale sailplanes, made mostly of glassfiber reinforced plastic, and optimized for very low drag = slippery , such as the ASW series from Schleicher, or the Discus/ Ventus series from Schempp-Hirth.
What is a "gas bag"?
Same as a floater.

Thanks!

This hobby, like any activity, has its mystery words. Takes a while to get them all down.

Right .... Long-time-listener, first time caller ...

I hail from the Glow-engine side of things, but am lurking in the sailplane areas because sailplanes have an appeal for me, and I want in.

What are HLG, and EPP?

These are terms I see around, and know not the meaning of.

Thanks in advance

EPP = Expanded Polypropylene a closed cell foam used for wings and fuselage construction of "foamies".

You want in?

It is a different flying experience that is very addictive. Flights can be
measured in minutes, but they can also extend for over an hour. Every flight
is an adventure and every flight is different.

No fuel, no noise an no washing the plane down
after the flight. It is a hunter's game, if you are up for it.

Sailplanes are wonderful
