The lake Herman area is flyable or so I'm told. You might also try the back side of the rest stop on Hwy 80 above Vallejo, but check if it's legal/cool first. Theres a small hill off of 29 near Western Wine that I hear people have used as a local "bunny slope" as well. PM me if you want some more links etc.

well i am from sonoma, and i have been looking for somewhere to fly around the area for quite a while. there is a club on the backside of sonoma mountain on lichau road, but i didnt really have a great experience with the prez.
as far as sloping in the bay area, the best place i have flown is tick point, on the muir woods overlook out by stinson beach on hwy 1[sm=thumbup.gif]
there are a bunch of guys who fly out there, there is also a place above it up in the hills called 4 corners. it is a bit of a drive (about an hour) but it is soooo worth it. would love to meet up with some people to fly out there sometime. any other questions e-mail me at [email protected]
good luck, and let me know if you find a place to fly closer to sonoma/napa!
