Anyone remember the Doodler
Back in the winter of 1972 I bought a $10.00 glider kit called the Doodler. It came from Southwestern Sailplanes in New Mexico. The wing was built of two flat sheets of balsa, 3/8" and 1/4" glued together to form an under cambered wing. Center was re-enforced with celastic. This was the airplane I really learned to fly R/C with.
The Doodler still lives. Flew him last night with a Cox .049 on a small power pod. 5-6 minute engine run and a good 10 minute glide last night without much lift. Best was about 45 minutes a few years ago.
Just wondered if anyone remembered

I also had a Doodler back about the same time as you. It had an .049 power pod.
It was my first plane and I flew the heck out of it. Crashed it a lot, too.
Not the planes fault, though. All mine.
