Try using your shop vacuum to pull the kevlar thread through the tubing; works wonders...

RE: Spoiler string
I think thats my best bet. The local electronic wholesale houses are still laughing on that request. I'm going to try some of the local Sporting Good Stores they are most likely to have a specialty item of that sort. The GL is coming along slow, tail feathers, wing is finished except for hooking up spoilers, fuselage is coming along nicely, all I like is finishing up. Thanks for all the help. SJ

RE: Spoiler string
I used some basic heavy duty fishing line in my Spirit. When all was said and done, the fishing line survived better than the Spirit itself. For basic spoilers, I can't imagine there being too much force on the line. I just picked the largest lbs. test I could get that would still move freely through the plastic tubing in the wing.

RE: Spoiler string
Have used 25# test braided fishing line and some leftover miniblind cord - both worked fine...
I prefer braided line over monofilament - have found that it makes turns thru the wing better, is easier to tie knots in, and CA will lock the knots permanently.
Cheers!

RE: Spoiler string
Guess I better hang onto the big roll of dial cord that I've had for 30 years.
If you want to do direct actuation from a single servo use the larger bronze wraped guitar strings. These will snake around most any corner. Solder the ends to stiffen them.

Found 1/2 A control line line will work perfect. Which I hope now I can keep shades on windows and finish other planes. I don't think anyone else in Mobile flies sailplanes. SJ
