WattAge ThermalAire
I did a search on rcuniverse for "thermalaire" and got zero hits.
From what I've read on ezonemag it is a decent plane for a beginner. I am trying to get my dad back in the sport and have a limited budget (he has futaba fm with standard servos and receiver). I'd like to get a plane (with motor), ESC, and maybe a battery.
Here's what I looked at:
* H9 Aspire EP - OK if you do significant upgrades to power
* E-Flight Odyssey - Underpowered but not as bad - not a good slowflyer and tip stalls (an easy lander is a priority).
* GP Spectra - OK for beginner
* Wattage Thermalaire - Good for beginner and decent stock setup.
What do you experts think?

I would go ahead and get the Thermalaire. While I don't own one, i've seen a few at my slope lately. They seem like a good value for the money and would be good for the beginner (or re-learner), because they can take some of those "hard landings". As a plus, the standard radio will fit.
Hope this helps!
