1-26 where are you
Does anyone know where I can find a kit for a schweitzer 1-26 preferably an E model but not critical as I can mod as necessary.
Thanks in advance

RE: !-26 where are you
You misspelled "1". It looks like a "!".
As to kits; keep an eye to eBay or some of the for sale sections of these boards. Several here and at RC Groups are making plans for the 1-26 and one is reportedly working on a 1-26E ARF.

RE: 1-26 where are you
Jason,
We have a 80" 2 meter span and 96" 2.4 meter span which are 1/6 and 1/5 scale respectively available at http://www.lightfastgraphics.com/schweizer_126.html. Also all of the old Sterling line of sailplanes in plans and patterns are available and if their is enough interest we will send them off to be laser cut as well for those nostalgia flyers. They include a 1-34 at 98 1/2", 1-26 at 80" and a 2-32 at 47 1/2" plus the Cirrus and Diamant.
The 80" and the 96" 1-26E will be going to the laser cutter soon. The short kits will inlude two pages of plans, a multi page construction guide, all the fuse parts of hard ply, light ply and balsa, all the wing ribs and all the tail surface and aileron parts: ribs, spars, leading/trailing edges as well as a clear canopy, and a full color archival ink instrument panel. You will have to buy wing spars and leading/trailing edge stock and wing, fuselage and tail sheeting material plus your choice of hinges, tow hook, tow release, main wheel, wing joiner carbon/aluminum/brass and covering material.
This kit is really cool. All the control surfaces are super scale with triangular section truss construction and all the parts cut for quick assembly. Just as in the full scale ship, all the control surfaces are fabric covered. (Course if you want fast just saw em out of solid balsa!)
Place your orders guys!!!!
