Original BOT Wing Joiner Rods
Well, I wasn't really digging through thirty boxes of balsa, covering, control rods and plywood to find these BUT they did pop up!
Many, many years ago I needed some wing rods (or thought I did) for a few projects. I had in my hands at that time an original Dave Thornberg hand cut BOT. I noticed that the wing wire was exactly what I was looking for. AND it was hardened! So I give a call to Dave and asked where I could get these cut to length and hardened wires. He replied that he had over bought and would gladly sell me a hand full. OK!
I bought twenty and eventually used two. So now I offer up twelve or so of these for your delight and my profit. Well not really profit because IF I had invested the money in the late 70's it surely would be worth far more than the two dollars each (plus shipping) that I'm asking for these wing rods. Of course you could just buy your own piece of 1/4" OD x 36" music wire and cut out a 10 1/2" piece BUT it just would NOT be the same!
