Default QuickFlick - DLG. Home design/build/fly

Hello all,

After quite a bit of searching around, I never could find plans for a built-up DLG of ~1.2m span that didn't require excessive amounts of composites. . . so I made my own.

Attached are a couple of pictures of the QuickFlick, the full build thread/album is available at http://pldaniels.com/flying/va.php?dir=quickflick-02

Today I took it out for a dead-air maiden at 17H30 (no thermals, just sink :-\ ) I managed ~30 second flights from a moderate toss.

Great looking project. It's nice to see folks making wooden models still. And thanks for making the plans available. It'll be interesting to hear more about the flying when you get some better weather.

G'day all -

Successful few trimming flights today. Video is available at http://pldaniels.com/flying/quickflick-02-20050130.avi

8MB size, 3 minutes long, DivX encoded.

Longest flight during the 20 minute session spent at the field was 106 seconds.

Paul.
