Cover the bottom first, then the top.
Tack each piece of covering first at each end at the spar or the high point of the chord then diagonally tack the ends. Working slowly and side to side pull and tack the covering all around the perimeter of the wing. After it is all tacked down around the edges, shrink the film to remove any tension wrinkles or baggy areas.
Cover each wing in 4 pieces two on the bottom and two on the top of each wing.

I agree with egett except for one thing. I would cover the wing in eight pieces. Four on top and four on the bottom. I have a GL and covered the top on one side using one piece. The camber of the wing makes it very hard to navigate the polyhedral and not have some sag in the covering. A good rule of thumb is, start a new piece of covering at the dihedral and polyhedral. You are also working with smaller pieces of covering.
GOOD LUCK

We are in agreement on the wing. Left wing, 4 pieces; right wing, 4 pieces = 8 pieces total. If you have a three piece wing, then use 6 pieces. Use 2 pieces per wing panel.

RE: covering a wing (gentle lady)
thanks guys. i hope to have it in the air sunday or at least covered. it will be wierd to fly though since i will be useing a pistol grip controller.
i had also remember seeing someone with i think duct fans from some plane on a gentle lady. i was wondering how i could get or find these fans and find out how this person did that. i would also like to make them detachable. but i cant seem to find the post.thanks again

I wouldn't recommend trying to fly an airplane with a pistol-grip radio, if for no other reason than the fact that the controls will not be nearly as intuitive as with an airplane-type control setup, not to mention it will be hard to find "neutral" on the elevator control and (I suspect) the rudder control will be way too sensitive.
I've never used a pistol-grip radio before, but if this is your first time flying, I would get hold of an inexpensive airplane radio for your GL. BTW: are you flying on an airplane or surface frequency?

RE: covering a wing (gentle lady)
Hi,
I did my latest Gl wing in 8 pieces total.
I start with bottom also.
I have done the bottom in one piece before but it is easier to not waste material in smaller sections.
This is my latest one, 20.5oz AUW.
PJS1000 outrunner style motor, 11X4.7 prop, CC45 speed control and TP 2100mah 3 cell lipo. 30 amp full stick. 3lb thrust.
Straight up vertical performance.

RE: covering a wing (gentle lady)
i just finished covering my GL and am thinking of adding some sort of power supply that way i could fly when ever without having to go through much set up. i have also consulted many people at hobby shops about gliders and most suggested adding a power source and making it removable. i have also read on this forum that the GL is a pure glider and does not like the extra weight. but i would like to hear some more opinions. thanks
