Newbie Aspire trouble
Hello everyone. I am a newbie here and recently acquired a Hanger 9. It is one very nice plane except for the radio trouble I am having.
First off, any good (inexpensive) 7.2 V 1500 mAh wall (120 V outlet) chargers?? Because mine only came with an alligator-clip car battery charger which is indeed handy but cumbersome when flying the plane around the house.
Second, I am having some interesting radio issues. So I hold the fuselage in the air and piont the 550-motored end away from everything, flick the reciever switch to 'on', press the activator switch, and then, nothing. I slowly bring the end of the transmitter antenna close to the radio reciever wire hanging off the tail end, and suddenly, whoosh, my arm is being lifted into the air. no servo response, no centering, no response whatsoever to any channel, even the 3rd one of the back for motor-control (I assume). I move the radio antenna end away and the motor shuts down, and so it goes on. I have no idea what to do and no matter what I do, there is no radio contact, even though the transmitter has 8 fresh AAs in it and the battery pack for the plane is charged. The only interaction is when I move the antenna within 2 ft. of the reciever antenna and the motor fires up. PLEASE HELP!!
This is a newbie post, so please understand my lack of RC knowledge.
