Default easy glider electric ESC & Batt?

Hi
Since this is my first plane with motor, I like to know what kind of ESC and batteries is better or recomend for the easy glider.
I guess its motor is a 400?
For servos and rx, I´ll get Hitec HS 81 and 55, rx Electron 6.
Any tips?
thanks

I've just ordered an Easy Glider from Towerhobbies and I am waiting for the package. I will use the same servo's and receiver as you noted in your post. For a motor controller I will use an FMA Direct Super 20 unit which can auto detect either Li-poly or NiMH cells. I own this unit in another plane and for a bushed motor controlled it works very well. Good luck

Regards Dave

towerhobbies price on the easy glider is $80 and they want $40 for the (replacement) geared speed 400. kind of spendy, isn't the glider foam? Suprised at Tower..... usually better bang for the buck.... maybe it flies well, -does it?- Anyone know of a better thermal flyer using a speed 400? - building a speed 280 glider with balsa fuse and balsa-food wrap wing. 48" span. ya, used food wrap before - works fine for slow pokes.........-=Grin=-

Get an ESC of at least 12 amps, to be sure to have enough capacity. And it MUST have a break or the prop won't fold and will cause tons of drag.

Battery - Good quality 2/3 or 4/5 A 8 cell pack capeable of 15 amps should do a great job! I think the 1100 or 1150 KAHN packs do very well in this plane.
