Anybody know of chuperosa plans?
I had chupperosa for a long time, it seemed to deteriorate after a while though... It was one of my most favorite planes, really strong wing, flew just right, and it was convienient to go fly with. Then it started to get a dutch-roll problem while it aged, really became a frustrating plane to fly... so I gave it away. Anybody got a source for these discontinued kits? I miss my plane! Oh, if you know of anything similar to it as well, that'd be excellent. I don't know what airfoil it had, the wing was a custom job. The only thing closest to it, is my stratus 1600. (1.6 meter)

The Chup is no longer commercially available. I think RC Modeler magazine had plans, but I don't know whether or not they are still available; it seems the magazine is out of business. That said, I have a chuperosa and may be able to find plans for you. I do have a new kit on the shelf and a 2 meter wing kit for it. I could have those plans copied for you if you can be patient with me.
The Chuperosa I have built and the kit I have had 7037 airfoils and were some of the later kits in the series. The 4061 was used for a while. My planes are balsa sheeted foam core.
Let me know if any of this information is useful.

All of these planes were kitted by Culpepper models. None are currently in production. If you have some interest in the Alycones, I also have kits for the 2m and the 3m planes.
The Chup and the Alcyone (various versions) are definitely the same "family".

I definitely let sailpilot have the first chance if interested ... but I might be interested in one of the kits. I remember drooling over it when MAN had a review of the the NESP Kit.

RE: Anybody know of chuperosa plans?
Thanks for the help guys! I think this will do:
http://www.rcmmagazine.com/e/env/000...=plans:pl-1009
Only $10 for the plans as well. Talk about a difference in wing! The fuselage of mine was much more rounded and elegant in the front, the tail feathers were identical, but the wing was much bigger than 60", I think it was closer to being a 2 meter! But it was inbetween a 2m and a 1.5, not sure what to call it. Thanks for the tips guys! All I need are plans. [8D][&:]
BTW, here's the index:
http://www.rcmmagazine.com/e/env/000...ns-list-5.html
that's a lotta great plane designs!
