Motor Glider-What size Folding Prop??
I have a Multiplex 500 size can motor in a glider, and would like to know if a 7x6 folding prop will do the trick. Is that prop to small?? This is direct drive. AUW about 34 oz. WS - 60 in. Thanks, Mike.

Hey Balsabrain,
Try goin to the multiplex website, they have a neat simple motor calc progam on line, just select your motor and the other parameters and you can see what prop gives the most thrust. I think that you need more blade length and less pitch for direct drive on a glider, probably an 8-4.
I flew for 18 years with the Pine Barren modelers in Ocean County, lived a total of 60 yrs in Essex, Union, Monmouth and Ocean counties, I know the turf well[8D]
