RE: VOLTIJ
Maidened the Voltij on saturday. WOW, its awesome.
Took me 3 afternoons to complete the build. The Optimal version is sweet, the hinging and finish of the wings is simply superb.
Work involved with the optimal version: Installation of all flying stab, Wing joiner tubes in the fus, servo tray, pushrods, hinge the rudder, and some formers for the rudder.
Maidened it in very light conditions on saturday, about 5mph wind, and had another flight yesterday also in 5mph or less wind.
Am very impressed so far with the flight charachteristics.
Havnt weighed it yet, but with 4x JR 591 servos, 1700mah Nicd, JR R700 rx and about 40g lead to get the cg correct, it feels really light. Going to add a ballast tube and replace the carbon wing joiners with 8mm wire when the wind picks up.
